Do I have to self-host Askilator?

Yes and no. While Askilator is in BETA the hosted variant can only be obtained by requesting it on the Discord in the #request channel.

Can I use Slash Commands?

Yes. Askilator 1.0.0 (released on TBD) implemented support for Slash Commands. Access them by starting to type / and Discord should list all commands with autocomplete features.

Can I use both Discord and custom emojis for reactions?

Yes. Askilator 1.0.0 (released on TBD) has support for both Discord's own twemojis and custom emojis that live on the server itself.

Can I set custom emojis per watched channel?

No. Setting custom emojis currently is per-server and will get applied to all watched channels.

Can I set whether it adds up- or downvotes per watched channel?

No. Deciding whether Askilators adds up- and/or downvotes happens per server and thus will get applied to all watched channels.
